About Us
May Project Gardens (MPG) is a Global Majority-led, award-winning grassroots organisation that works with marginalised urban communities to address poverty, disempowerment, and lack of access to resources and influence.
MPG has grown organically for 17 years and was formalised as a Community Interest Company (CIC) in 2015.
We offer practical, affordable, and collective solutions for sustainable living and challenge power structures that don't serve community interests.
Using universally connecting tools—nature, food, and creative arts—we foster personal transformation that collectively leads to social change.
Our ecosystem of programs includes the award-winning Hip Hop Garden Programme, Come We Grow nature and music events, and the Natural City Living (NCL) community garden programme.
Our garden boasts a polytunnel, pond, orchard, and an outdoor straw bale classroom.
MPG's work focuses on meeting the needs and improving the wellbeing of people marginalised from the mainstream, especially those who face racialised discrimination.
